The 22/45's bolt serrations are uncomfortable if you're not wearing gloves. There. We said it.

The traction that the bolt serrations offer is great, but the edges are sharp and unless you're running gloves it's a dicey affair at best. There's also not a lot of surface area to hold onto on the stock bolt. We've used other charging handles over the years, but most are metal and require hardware to install. They're (relatively) heavy as well, and we've even had them impede function (like, a lot) with subsonic ammo. No one wants to plink or hunt with a firearm that's supposed to be fun but jams all the time.
